During the Regular Session of the Iligan City Council last Monday, May 20, the ordinance to establish a Local College Institution in Iligan City was approved.
The Community College will provide an affordable college education that will cater students from indigent families. Initial courses that will be granted are Criminology, Agriculture, Social Work, and Midwifery.
During the said session, it was agreed that the Community College will be named “Colegio de Iligan.” The ordinance, authored by Councilor Petronilo G. Pardillo, Chairman of the Committee on Education, will be ready for publication and will become effective after three publications. Submission of applications for admission will follow.
